
Guangxin is responsible for providing advisory services to a global portfolio of clients in the timber sector and beyond. She also provides support to LegalSource and ResponsibleSource services in China.
In her role, she provides support for companies wanting to mainstream sustainability into their business practices by helping them to create and implement sustainability policies. Guangxing provides training and support to ensure smooth implementation. She also helps to map and assess risk in their supply chain.
Guangxin has over nine years of working experience in the sustainability area. After she graduated with a Master’s degree in Forest Management, she worked for five years in an industry that fosters responsible timber trade.
Subsequently, she worked with the European Forest Institute’s European Union Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (EU FLEGT) Facility Beijing office as a Project Officer, where she gained experience in timber legality projects relating to the European Union Timber Regulations (EUTR) and Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade Voluntary Partnership Agreements (FLEGT VPAs).
In her previous role, she played a leading role in the world’s first industry alliance initiated by China. She worked with players from the Cobalt industry to improve cobalt supply chain transparency and address social and environmental challenges. She has vast knowledge and understanding of how to better communicate with companies, supply chain mapping methodology, supply chain risk assessment and mitigation.
Guangxin joined Preferred by Nature in September 2019.
