
Monica-Andreea Sturza
As a Sustainability Analyst, Monica provides advisory services to a portfolio of clients, supporting their efforts to meet sustainability commitments and legal requirements. In addition, she plays a technical role within the process improvement team, ensuring data integrity, monitoring project performance, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the overall effectiveness of projects and services.
Monica's work in the Sustainability Advisory team involves delivering services for clients and donor-funded projects. This includes policy development and alignment; benchmarking activities and gap analysis of client sustainability systems; supply chain engagement; developing and implementing traceability and mapping systems for clients; conducting supply chain validation activities and risk assessments; and procedural development. She also contributes to the creation of tools, research, news updates on policy and legislative changes, tailored audit standards, and independent verification programmes. Additionally, Monica is involved in conducting commodity- or country-level risk assessments.
Furthermore, her tasks include desk-based and on-site verification audits of organisations against a checklist of criteria and indicators, internal and external capacity building, and providing technical and administrative support to improve quality and processes. She is responsible for developing guidance and procedures, updating the SER Tailored Service Handbook, developing and enhancing current components within Microsoft products, suggesting improvements to Salesforce, ensuring SER staff and engagements adhere to Preferred by Nature policies, and conducting internal monitoring, audits, and reporting on quality metrics.
