Lucas Schnapper
As Forestry and Biomass Specialist, Lucas provides support to the Forestry, Biomass and Climate programmes of Preferred by Nature. His role involves providing auditing services for clients as well as delivering expertise and guidance on forest management related topics.
Lucas began his career as a forest manager in Central Africa, implementing new measures in the field to obtain certification for some forestry companies. Thereafter, he worked for the French state forest administration where he coordinated a research project for the adaption of forests to climate change. Recently, he worked as a forest manager for private forest owners in France.
Lucas is also an Auditor in training for Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™), Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) Forest Management and Chain of Custody standards. He is directly involved in technical aspects of forest management and chain of custody certification evaluations including auditing, customer service and quality control.
Lucas has a Master of Science in Environmental Management of Tropical Ecosystems and Forests from AgroParisTech.
