Josette Mao
Josette is responsible for planning and managing Preferred by Nature audits in Côte d'Ivoire.
Josette began her career in December 2011 after completing her training as a Rainforest Alliance, UTZ Certified and Cocoa Practices auditor. Throughout her career, she has freelanced for several certification bodies including Rainforest Alliance’s business unit, RA-Cert and others.
She has carried out several audits in West Africa such as Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal and Cameroon. She has experience in planning and managing audits of agricultural raw materials. Josette is passionate about environmental conservation.
Prior to joining Preferred by Nature, Josette was an agricultural engineer specialising in the economics of agricultural societies at the Higher National Agronomic School in Côte d'Ivoire. She has certificates in sustainable development and environmental management.
Josette joined Preferred by Nature in August 2019.
