Gerimantas Gaigalas
Gerimantas is FSC Forest Management and Chain of Custody Lead Auditor with rich experience in forest management area. In addition, he has PEFC Chain of Custody as well as SBP Lead Auditor qualification, and performs audits in the mentioned areas.
Gerimantas holds a Master‘s degree in Forestry, a Master‘s degree in International Law and a diploma in programming.
His professional record includes leading the International Relations and Agreements Division in the Lithuanian Ministry of Environment. He has also gained experienced from working in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Papua New Guinea regional office and at the Institute of Environment Sustainability of the EU Commission in Italy. He participated in the forest management certification process of the first state forest enterprises in Lithuania.
Gerimantas joined Preferred by Nature as FSC Lead Auditor in our Lithuanian office in 2013. He took up the position of Manager of Lithuanian office in 2015 and the Manager of Russian office in 2017. Since 2018 he acts as the Director of Land Use.
