In his dual role at Preferred by Nature, Nicolas serves as both the Ecosystem Restoration Specialist and Legal Entity Manager. As the Ecosystem Restoration Specialist, he engages with stakeholders and organisations to promote restoration initiatives, identify potential clients, and manage tasks and field audits based on the Preferred by Nature Ecosystem Restoration Standard. Nicolas supports the creation of verification materials and training programmes, fostering strong collaboration across the organisation to ensure consistent stakeholder engagement and effective communication.
As the Legal Entity Manager, he acts as the legal representative, coordinating the operations of the local entity with headquarters to ensure compliance and efficiency. He manages legal and fiscal obligations, oversees payroll processes, and maintains necessary registrations and insurance. His responsibilities include ensuring all aspects of local compliance are met, from onboarding new staff to managing external provider relationships and contractual obligations.
Nicolas has been deeply engaged in ecosystem restoration, promoting Preferred by Nature's initiatives and collaborating with a broad spectrum of stakeholders. His tasks include actively identifying potential clients, including those involved in existing restoration funding projects, and leading efforts to create and maintain essential verification materials and programme documentation. Additionally, he manages tasks and conducts field audits in line with the Ecosystem Restoration Standard, ensuring seamless coordination and implementation of on-site projects.
