Kara Wires
Based in the US, Kara supports the delivery of forestry services in Preferred by Nature. In the US, Kara serves and technical lead for forest management auditing and serves as a lead auditor. Globally, Kara maintains and develops forest management training programs and content as well as supporting Preferred by Nature Certification forestry work.
For the US, she conducts forestry audits and provides technical support for US forest management work including training, quality monitoring and systems improvements.
In addition, Kara has two global roles: She supports the forestry division's implementation of the Preferred by Nature Certification program; and she is also responsible for developing and maintaining training content for the FSC Forest Management Expert Course as well as other courses, including participating as a trainer.
Kara has over 20 years of experience working with FSC Forest Management certification. In addition to serving as an auditor and a trainer, her experience includes multiple technical working groups and field tests.
