Jennifer Mleczko
Jennifer is responsible for identifying, pursuing and implementing projects, advisory services and other opportunities across commodity sectors to support the achievement of sustainability goals and commitments.
Jennifer manages the successful operation and delivery of projects and advisory services across the organisation and to a portfolio of clients in North America with support to regions in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. This includes being a technical expert in the cocoa, coffee, beef, timber, textiles, soy and other natural resource sectors and developing systems for responsible sourcing and associate activities such as policy development, supply chain engagement, risk mitigation, capacity building, etc.
Jennifer started out in Preferred by Nature as an Agriculture Coordinator and a Lead Auditor for Rainforest Alliance. She began her career in sustainable agriculture and development at the World Bank as a consultant and agricultural analyst. She also worked for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) administering programs in international development. Jennifer holds a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, and a Dual Masters in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development.
Jennifer acts as the Cattle Commodity Lead for Preferred by Nature, representing the organisation in all aspects related to the commodity. Her role involves advocating and facilitating the widespread adoption of sustainable practices in cattle production landscapes and supply chains.
With extensive experience in the cattle sector, Jennifer possesses invaluable expertise and knowledge that provide deep insights into market trends and challenges. She takes the lead in driving our teams' efforts to make positive impacts, shape market practices and establish partnerships aimed at transforming the cattle sector at various levels.
