
Jennifer Mleczko
Jennifer supports the management of Preferred by Nature’s Sustainability Advisory division. This includes overseeing key operations within the division, collaborating with cross-sectoral and cross-regional teams to identify, secure, and implement impactful projects and advisory services. Her work focuses on advancing sustainability goals and commitments for organisations and companies across diverse commodity sectors.
As Senior Manager, Jennifer supports in overseeing the successful delivery of projects and advisory services across Preferred by Nature’s global operations. She leads a portfolio of clients in North America while extending strategic support to regions in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Focus areas include developing and implementing due diligence systems for responsible sourcing and supply chain risk mitigation, creating policies, and building capacity to align with regulations such as EUDR, CSDDD, CSRD, and the Lacey Act or other ESG frameworks related to biodiversity, climate, or land-use such as SBTN. This work also includes driving regional engagement, sales communication, client relationship management, and the development of new impact-driven projects and partnerships related to advisory, certification, tourism, or on-the-ground initiatives.
Jennifer serves as the Cattle Commodity Lead for Preferred by Nature, advocating for and driving the adoption of sustainable practices within cattle production landscapes and supply chains. With extensive experience in the cattle sector, Jennifer takes the lead in driving our teams' efforts to make positive impacts, shape market practices and establish partnerships aimed at transforming the cattle sector at various levels.
Her technical knowledge spans key sectors including cocoa, coffee, beef, timber, textiles, soy, and other natural resources, positioning her as a versatile expert across sustainability and resource management.
Jennifer’s began at Preferred by Nature as an Agriculture Specialist and Lead Auditor for Rainforest Alliance. She was formally an agriculture analyst at the World Bank, and a program administrator at the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). She holds a Bachelor’s in Natural Resources and Environmental Science and a Dual Master’s in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development, and International Affairs.
Her leadership and technical expertise continue to support Preferred by Nature’s mission of driving positive global change.
