Miftahul Irsyadi Purnama
Miftahul works closely with our Tailored Services programme, specialising in climate and biodiversity-related services. His responsibilities include managing and conducting customised audits based on established carbon project standards, such as Verra (VCS, CCB), Gold Standard, and Plan Vivo. He is also involved in Ecosystem Restoration and expanding our client portfolio in climate and biodiversity services. As a GIS analyst, Miftahul provides technical support and interpretation to the Strategic Projects team, focusing on geospatial data, analysis, tools, and methodologies.
As a Sustainability Analyst - GIS & Carbon Project Auditor at Preferred by Nature, Miftahul plays a key role in gathering essential environmental data, such as maps, satellite images, and field surveys. He employs GIS technology to analyse spatial data, supporting sustainable land management and carbon projects for the organisation.
His responsibilities include conducting detailed spatial analyses on high conservation value ecosystems, collaborating closely with project teams to present findings, and supporting field assessments.
Miftahul also evaluates environmental impacts, identifies conservation opportunities, and verifies carbon project compliance with certification standards. His work involves mapping land use, assessing vegetation cover, analysing ecosystem services, and monitoring carbon sequestration, all contributing to effective climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies.
Through these efforts, Miftahul provides valuable insights that enhance landscape analysis methodologies, ensuring the organisation's commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability is upheld with precision and effectiveness.
