For years, owners and forest holders are motivated to obtain certification. At Preferred by Nature, I see the opportunity to encourage our clients to ensure the maintenance of forest and/or company certification in order to achieve their objectives in the short, medium and long term.
Alonso keeps track of FSC clients in Mexico (Forest Management and Chain of Custody). His duties include planning and reviewing reports before submitting it for authorisation.
He has 10 years of experience in the federal forestry sector in Mexico. Alonso is currently working in Durango, where he continues to promote support for the FM and COC certification as well as the ejidos (an area of communal lands used for agriculture and forest management), communities and private forest owners.
Alonso studied at the Universidad Juárez of the state of Durango (UJED) and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Forestry Engineering. He also obtained the technological master in Sustainable Forest Management (credits completed) at College of Postgraduates (COLPOS).
Alonso joined Preferred by Nature in October 2018.
