Wendy Paniagua
Wendy provides supports for the development of agricultural certification services especially in El Salvador as well as Latin American countries. Her other responsibilities include conducting the Rainforest Alliance Farm, Chain of Custody (CoC) and other related schemes audits.
Wendy juggles multiple tasks before the implementation of the audits for the Rainforest Alliance programme which are identifying equipment, arranging the logistics, providing support to the auditors where applicable, and reviewing reports outlining the audits, to ensure the processes comply with the technical and administrative certification protocols.
She began her certification work nine years ago, as a lead auditor for production units and processing plants in the Rainforest Alliance Certified programmes. She has experience as an inspector in other verification schemes. She is also an experienced trainer for auditors.
She has knowledge in safety audits in Plant Production Systems, implementation of ISO / IEC 17020: 2012, ISO / IEC 17065: 2012, ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 19011: 2011 and Safety and Health Management Systems in the OHSAS 18001: 2007 work. She has a degree in biology from the National University of El Salvador and a master’s degree in Wildlife Conservation and Management and Natural Resources from the National University of Costa Rica.
