Violeta B. Colán
Violeta is the Certification Service’s Manager and Legal Entity Manager of Preferred by Nature Perú. She monitors FSC and legality certification activities. Violeta also oversees staff and consultants providing certification services to clients.
Violeta has a degree in forest engineering from the Agrarian National University (UNALM) in Perú. She began her career in the Peruvian Forestry Research Institute where she conducted a diversity of studies and monitored plantations and natural forests in the Amazonian Region.
Violeta is an FSC Forest Management and Chain of Custody auditor. She is also a lead auditor after having obtained ISO 14001 accreditation since 2006. She has vast experience working as a lead auditor in Perú, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. She has also worked in the validation and verification of carbon projects.
Violeta joined Preferred by Nature in June 2019.
