Ria is a Senior Sustainability Specialist.

Ria has over 10 years of experience working with international environmental NGOs and research institutions, with a focus on sustainability and climate change. She holds an MSc in Rural Sociology and a BSc in Community Development and Communication Sciences from IPB University, Indonesia.

Ria’s expertise in sustainability encompasses a wide range of areas, including chain of custody auditing, social impact assessment and systems development. In her current role, Ria provides advisory services to companies, assisting them in evaluating and strengthening their Due Diligence Systems to ensure compliance with various standards and regulations. She is also a qualified lead auditor of Forest Stewardship CouncilTM (FSCTM) Chain of Custody and CanopyStyle standards. Additionally, she conducts technical reviews and delivers training to timber legality assessors on supply chain risk assessments.

She has completed course programmes in various standards, including FSC Chain of Custody and Controlled Wood, Ecosystem Restoration and Carbon Initiative, Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP), Social Impact Assessment, Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard, and LegalSource.

Ria joined Preferred by Nature in 2018.
