Giedre Vilutyte
Giedre is working with EU LIFE funded project ‘Enabling Effective Implementation and Enforcement of the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) in 6 Key Timber Importing Countries’.
While working with EU LIFE funder project, Giedre is improving availability and quality of information about timber import risks while developing a new Sourcing Hub database and interface. She is increasing capacity among key stakeholders to comply with EUTR by organizing various thematic workshops. Giedre also monitors project impact and provides support to Salesforce team.
She holds a MSc in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from University of Copenhagen. She focused on economic and environment relationships as well as community forest management. Giedre has worked in Mozambique with DANIDA projects supporting environment and climate change, and was also a trainee at Lithuanian Mission in Geneva focusing on WTO affairs.
Giedre joined Preferred by Nature in 2021.
