Christian Jürgensen
Christian serves as a lead auditor on evaluations conducted against forest management and Chain of Custody standards in Denmark. He also represents Preferred by Nature among main biomass stakeholders.
As a Lead Auditor, Christian coordinates and executes evaluations against SBP, PEFC Forest Management, FSC Forest Management, FSC Chain-of-Custody and PEFC Chain-of-Custody standards in Denmark, while providing customer service that ensures smooth and credible certification processes for new and existing certificate holders.
Christian brings with him more than 10 years of broad work experience at both national and international level and a strong combination of forestry knowledge and management skills which he uses to solve the complex array of tasks in this role.
Graduating with a MSc degree in Forest and Nature Management in 2011, Christian started his career as a climate adaptation specialist within the Danish State administration before moving on to the Forestry Section at the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations, where he worked as an analyst. He then engaged with nature conservation and community development in Indonesia with the overall aim of saving orangutans and in his most recent employment within the Danish Forest Association, he has worked with also servicing and advising Danish forest owners.
Christian joined Preferred by Nature in February 2022.
