Preferred by Nature and RA-Cert union update
Following the public announcement in February, we are now finalising the contract negotiation for the acquisition of Rainforest Alliance’s certification unit (RA-Cert) by NEPCon.
We now plan to complete the contract negotiation within the coming month, followed by the transition of RA-Cert to NEPCon this autumn.
Peter Feilberg, NEPCon Executive Director, said, “Our different teams at both NEPCon and RA-Cert have started to work together to lay out the process for the smooth transition internally and externally in the months ahead”.
From the recent staff surveys, “NEPCon and RA-Cert staff has expressed broad support of our planned union between NEPCon and RA-Cert”, remarked Laura Terrall, Director of RA-Cert. “We are very pleased that our staff also share in the enthusiasm and confidence with our management vision for where we would like to take our work when we join NEPCon later this year”, she added.
At the same time, NEPCon has initiated the establishment of new NEPCon offices in countries where RA-Cert is managing regional business, such as the U.S., Mexico, Indonesia, China, Ghana, Canada and Guatemala.
