Economist on PEFC paper
The Economist is pledging to use PEFC paper for all of its printed magazines.
During the past month, PEFC labeled magazines have been handed over the counters in the UK, Switzerland and the Netherlands. More country editions are to follow.
The Economist is encouraging its business partners in the printing sector to obtain PEFC certification. So far, 5 out of 8 printing houses supplying printing services for the production of the Economist have achieved the chain of custody certification allowing them to apply the PEFC label to printed matter.
