EUDR: Solutions for the wood and paper industry
Join us for an in-depth seminar to explore practical options for building robust, cost-effective EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) compliance solutions with your suppliers and customers. This event will focus on how the Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™) Regulatory Module and FSC Trace and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) PEFC EUDR DDS module can support your business in meeting the EUDR requirements effectively.
With the postponement of the EUDR, companies have a little more time to evaluate their options and collaborate with supply chains on implementing solutions. This seminar will guide participants through the certification processes, IT tools and due diligence requirements necessary to ensure compliance.
Certification schemes such as FSC and PEFC are set to play a significant role in meeting EUDR due diligence requirements. Both organisations have developed new services and resources that allow companies to:
- Incorporate EUDR requirements into their existing certifications.
- Pass on claims verifying EUDR compliance for certified products.
- Share supply chain information and documentation efficiently, including geolocations, via IT platforms.
- Maintain annual third-party audits to ensure continued alignment with EUDR regulations.
For products not covered by FSC or PEFC certifications, Preferred by Nature has developed bespoke due diligence tools and certification solutions to complement these systems.
The seminar will introduce the certification process for companies interested in adding EUDR modules to their existing certifications and explore IT solutions for both certified and non-certified products. Attendees will gain insights into cost-effective strategies for managing supplier and customer relationships under EUDR and hear updates on key ongoing developments.
