As the EU Monitoring Organisation and a sustainable procurement consultant/certification body, we have teamed up to co-host a conference with FoE Japan and Global Environmental Forum. 

The event will present the latest insights on the EUDR, the status quo of due diligence on timber as an example in the context of Japan's Clean Wood Act, the GIS-based technology for obtaining required geo-localisation coordinates, and its implication for sourcing activities of the other EUDR commodities, such as oil palm, cocoa, coffee, rubber, soy and cattle.

The seminar will be held in Plaza F, Yotsuya, Tokyo – Japan on 12 July 2023, from 13.00 – 16.30 JST. Interested participants can choose to either attend in person or virtually.

Preferred by Natureは、デンマークに本拠を置き、本年より日本での業務を本格的に展開する、主に森林リスクコモディティを対象とした持続可能な調達コンサルタント・認証機関です。この度、FoE Japanおよび地球人間環境フォーラムと共同で、「EUDRと森林リスクコモディティ調達の未来」と題したセミナーを開催します。

このセミナーでは、EUDR（EU木材破壊規制）の最新情報、日本のクリーンウッド法の文脈における木材合法性を事例としたデューデリジェンスの現状、EUDRで取得が義務付けられる地理座標情報を含むトレーサビリティ情報を収集・管理するためにESRIジャパンが開発したGISベースツール、および木材に加えてオイルパーム、ココア、コーヒー、ゴム、大豆、畜牛やその加工品といったEUDR規制対象コモディティの調達活動にそれらが示唆することについて、紹介・解説します。

参加者の対象としては、上記の各規制対象コモディティを国内外で調達してEUをはじめとする海外市場への輸出を展開または予定されている事業者や、EUDRやクリーンウッド法の要件遵守に対応することで自社の調達における持続可能性を引き上げることを検討している事業者、または森林リスクコモディティの世界的な規制や対応方法の動向を知りたい方等に、お役に立つ情報を提供します。会場参加とオンライン参加をお選びいただけますので、下記リンクの案内ページにある各申込フォームからご登録ください。
