EU Deforestation Regulation: Unpacking the latest updates and solutions
The date for the EUDR application is approaching! Since our last informative webinar in Chinese, significant updates have been released by the European Commission. This free webinar, conducted in Chinese, will equip you with the latest information and solutions to navigate the evolving EUDR landscape. Gain a competitive edge and ensure your business thrives under the new regulation.
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) specifies which products can be classified as deforestation-free and requires companies to implement sustainable sourcing practices and traceability measures. By promoting transparency and accountability, the EU aims to reduce pressure on forests and protect biodiversity in the production of key raw materials.
The EUDR applies to companies dealing with cattle, coffee, cocoa, palm oil, rubber, soy and wood, as well as derivative products, including chocolate, furniture and printed paper. Operators and traders covered by the legislation will be required to trace commodities to the plot of land where they were produced and to verify whether those commodities are produced in conditions that comply with relevant laws in their country of origin.
In this free-of-charge webinar, we will focus on the latest updates to the EUDR, including interpretations and information on how companies can better meet the EUDR requirements. We will also be sharing various solutions based on the Sustainability Framework which has been aligned with the EUDR requirements.
