Have you heard of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)? If not, be sure to attend our upcoming seminar where we will provide a detailed explanation of this regulation, as well as discuss how it could affect businesses in China.  

Last December, the EU reached an agreement on a new law, the EUDR, to prevent companies from placing commodities linked to deforestation and forest degradation, into the EU markets, or exporting them from the EU. 

This ground-breaking zero-deforestation legislation covers seven commodities, namely wood, rubber, soy, palm oil, coffee, cocoa, beef and derivatives such as leather, chocolate, furniture and palm oil derivatives. It is expected to have far-reaching implications for a wide range of industries, including Chinese companies that are part of the supply chains to Europe. 

What are the specific EUDR requirements? What impacts will it have on Chinese companies? What will European buyers and retailers require from suppliers under this new law? How should Chinese suppliers and exporting trading companies prepare for compliance? What is the difference between EUDR and the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR)? How should companies with EUTR compliance system meet the EUDR requirements? How will sustainable certification systems such as the Forest Stewardship Council^TM (FSC^TM), Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), Rainforest Alliance certification and etc, align with the EUDR requirements? What does the new legislation mean for the rubber industry and agricultural companies? 

And, what are Preferred by Nature's solutions to help the impacted companies?

In this workshop, we will answer all these questions while providing a forum for interested parties to discuss the best solutions and ways to respond to the EUDR.
