Are you looking to demonstrate your commitment to sustainability and make credible claims about the environmental impact of your products? Getting verified against the Sustainability Framework can do just that for you.
Our verification services are designed to help producers of forest or agricultural products achieve sustainability in their production and stand out in today's demanding markets.
Companies that have been verified to meet all applicable requirements of the Sustainability Framework can make off-product claims about compliance with the Framework to their buyers and to the public in general, for example, on the company’s homepage or through other media.
Taking the next step: carbon compensation
As a unique feature of the Sustainability Framework Programme (SFP), Preferred by Nature offers verification of their climate actions. For clients that also compensate for the GHG emissions of a product, we allow on-product seal use.
Take your sustainability commitments to the next level: get verified against the Sustainability Framework.

Add-on services
Already certified under other schemes? No problem.
The Sustainability Framework Programme recognises the efforts made by companies that have achieved certification from other schemes.
Therefore, we offer Sustainability Framework Verification as an add-on to existing certificates, integrating missing aspects into your regular audits, and maximising efficiency and cost savings.
It means additional areas can be verified simultaneously with other certification scheme audits, so you will not have to be audited twice for the same issues.
Forestry
We have benchmarked the Sustainability Framework Programme with existing schemes, such as the Forest Stewardship CouncilTM (FSCTM) to recognise the efforts achieved under the existing certification schemes.
Forest managers who hold an FSC certification and would like to use the Preferred by Nature Sustainability Framework related claims must comply with additional requirements for FSC-certified forest management operations, where applicable.
If you would like your organisation to be eligible for the use of the claims, notify your task manager, who will contact you to discuss the specifics. The add-on requirements can be verified during your regular FSC audit or, if preferred, verified earlier in a separate audit.
