Preferred by Nature approved to provide FSC Regulatory Module service
Preferred by Nature has expanded our accreditation scope to include the Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™) Regulatory Module. We’re excited about this new approval and what it means for our commitment to support the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) alignment.
The FSC Regulatory Module is a voluntary standard designed to help FSC-certified companies align with the EUDR. By adding this module to their certification scope, companies gain access to a structured framework that simplifies understanding and alignment with EUDR requirements. This includes due diligence preparation, a risk assessment framework, and streamlined processes for compliance.
Preferred by Nature is ready to support companies and organisations worldwide interested in adopting the FSC Regulatory Module. Interested stakeholders can request a scope expansion audit as a standalone desk audit or combine it with their annual audit for convenience.
To get started, stakeholders can explore the many resources available on the FSC EUDR Journey website. These resources include a step-by-step guide to adding the module, tools for preparing risk assessments, and tips for working with suppliers on due diligence requirements.
Navigating the EUDR may feel challenging, but tools like the FSC Trace platform, launching soon, can make the process easier. This platform enhances traceability and enables companies to gather, manage, and report data more efficiently, whether or not the entire supply chain uses the FSC Regulatory Module.
