Ann Weddle - Project Manager, NEPCon
Ann works as a Project Manager for NEPCon, implementing donor-funded timber legality projects. One of these was a project building the capacity of Vietnamese SMEs to fulfill demands for legal timber. She spent two years in Vietnam working with the trade to facilitate access to EU markets. Ann has technical expertise within FSC and PEFC certification systems and EUTR due diligence auditing. Ann has over five years’ experience of working with the timber industry in the UK and Ireland. Ann holds a Master’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Management and is working towards one in Forestry. She joined NEPCon in 2010.
David Hadley Garcia - Forest Legality Specialist, NEPCon
Drawing on more than 15 years of industry experience, David is supporting NEPCon’s efforts to provide business solutions in relation to responsible sourcing and supply chain management, on par with related legislation and market requirements, specifically in connection with legal harvesting and trade of wood products. David forms part of NEPCon’s Responsible Sourcing team and contributes to NEPCon’s capacity building and training services. He has technical expertise within FSC and PEFC certification systems and the provision of EUTR and due diligence related services. David holds a Master's degree in Forestry. He joined NEPCon in 2009.

This workshop was conducted as part of the joint project ‘Supporting Legal Timber Trade’ aimed at supporting timber-related companies in Europe with knowledge, tools and training in the requirements of the EU Timber Regulation.
