Elisa Colpo

Elisa leads the UK team and is responsible for the overall management of the British Isles and Italy portfolios, ensuring a smooth and credible certification process for all new and existing certificate holders.

She fulfils the complex array of qualifications required for this position, including financial and human resources management, as well as market development. These are complemented by technical expertise within Preferred by Nature's key service areas.

With her passion for all things concerning nature and the environment, Elisa moved from a career in landscape design to a position as Preferred by Nature Lead Auditor. She has passed Preferred by Nature's formal lead auditor courses within FSC, PEFC, Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture, and has conducted numerous audits within the forestry and agricultural sectors. Elisa is now being trained for RSPO auditing. 

With a strong belief in the importance of striking a sustainable balance between the utilisation of natural resources and the demands of human society, Elisa supports independent verification of companies in the forestry and agriculture sectors as a mean of improving and growing in the right direction.
