We are now looking for Forestry and Biomass Auditor to join our team in Denmark.
What you will do
As a Forestry and Biomass Auditor your main tasks will be to:
- Act as Lead Auditor on selected evaluations. The number of audits will be 1.5 to 2 audits per week in average
- Support the coordination and execution of evaluations in Denmark – this could include logistical planning, supporting consultants, liaising with clients, and finalising and reviewing reports (RRA)
- Develop and implement evaluation schedules and ensure timely and efficient completion of these.
- Ensure efficiency, quality control and adherence to Preferred by Nature’s technical and administration certification protocols
- Provide customer service to current and potential clients of Preferred by Nature in Denmark
- Support market development for Preferred by Nature certification services in Denmark
- Develop and maintain strong technical expertise in Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) / Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) / Sustainable Biomass Programme (SBP) and Preferred by Nature policies, standards and protocols.
- Manage questions and disputes relating to active certification evaluations and clients consistent with Preferred by Nature and certification scheme policies
Who you are
- You have university degree in forestry, biology, geography, environmental management or related field, or vocational education from the timber processing or timber trading industry
- You have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
- You are fluent in Danish and English languages, Swedish is advantage
- You have knowledge of forest certification schemes such as: FSC Forest Management, FSC Chain of Custody, PEFC, SBP
- You are comfortable travelling nationwide (and internationally) as part of your job role
- You have a high level of integrity to carry out your role ethically whilst addressing clients’ needs
- You are comfortable making independent decisions. The nature of the job requires you to work independently and often remotely
- You believe in Preferred by Nature’s mission and want to contribute to it
- You have a valid driving license
