If so, then you might be the match for our role as an Agriculture Specialist (with project experience) based in Poland.
What you can expect
As soon as you start your new job, you'll be auditing against Rainforest Alliance (RA), UTZ, The Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT), or GlobalG.A.P. standards. After a few months, you'll be supporting the success and growth of our certification services in Poland and EU as well as project work in the area of regenerative agriculture. The share between auditing and regenerative agriculture projects is flexible and can be between 20-80% of your working time.
Projects you will work on:
- managing a portfolio of certified clients to ensure their required audits are scheduled, carried out and completed on time.
- working with budgeting, logistical planning, report review and database administration.
- conducting sustainability audits for clients.
- agricultural projects to support processors and farms to implement regenerative agriculture interventions to improve soil health, biodiversity, water management and reduce climate impact
- be part of a technical group of agronomists working with regenerative agriculture
Role Progression

Within one month, you will:
- Meet the team and learn about our systems, tools and resources available
- Begin your training in managing project activities, RA Supply Chain training and audit observation in the field
Within six months, you will:
- Be technically proficient in the applicable supply chain certifications and support in regenerative agriculture
- Attain auditor qualifications for one or two sustainable certifications (and become lead auditor eventually)
- Travel to client’s facilities to assist in conducting on-site sustainability audits and project work
Within one year, you will:
- Continue developing expertise by working with new programmes and departments within Preferred by Nature
Important that you
- Have a bachelor's degree or vocational school in the field of agriculture, horticulture, corporate social responsibility, agro-industrial or a food-related discipline with primary focus on quality control, food safety, hygiene or traceability
- Have 2-3 years of experience in farming or agricultural supply chains auditing
- Understand and/or have experience of regenerative agriculture
- Have experience with coordination or project management
- Have skills in word processing, databases, spreadsheets and presentation
- Can manage competing priorities while working both independently and as part of a team
- Are proficient in English and Polish
- Are willing to travel within country and EU (appr.20-30%)
Would also be great, but not necessary, if you are:
- Familiar with RA/UTZ/UEBT/GlobalG.A.P. standards
- Experienced in social standards (Fairtrade, GRASP, SA8000, SMETA, ISO 9001/ISO 14001/ISO 22000)
- Skilled in project management
